Guys, the following mail was received today in the forum mailbox, you may find it interesting:
Dear Sirs, My name is Rachel Verghis and I am the Sales Director of a gallery in Mayfair London called Maddox Arts. We are currently exhibiting an artist called Nick Veasey who has been getting a substantial amount of press recently - especially as he was commissioned by the Victoria and Albert Museum to X-Ray the Mini on the occasion of its 50th birthday this year. I have attached a picture of this artwork which is has taken the artist 3 months, separately x-raying 300 of its components to construct the finished product - which is 98% the size of the mini itself! I thought this piece might be of interest to your organisation. The smaller version of this piece now forms part of the V&A's permanent collection. The artwork is 1800 x 3000mm long and is printed on Archival C-Type Diasec. More details on the artist's other works can be found on the gallery website www.maddoxarts.com and I have also attached a press release on the artist, some articles and the most recent BBC and German tv footage on the show. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/arts_and_culture/8341415.stm http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0N5_UWKahc Mini.jpg nick with parts lo-res.jpg |

That X-Ray looks pretty effective, makes a change to having an Italian Job print on the wall.

You're right! But we'd all be complaining if they'd cut up a rust-free example

Rust free example? Well that's been done recently when they cut in half a low mileage MKI to put in a museum.
Anyway surely that's a Mini Mayfair and not a Cooper?
